Winsor & Newton Professional acrylic satin UV varnish provides a protective satin finish against dirt, grease, pollution, fading and colour shift.

It also contains a UV protective agent which improves lightfastness and protects from other UV damage such as fading or colour shifting in tone.

Thinly painted acrylic films can be vanished after 24 hours of drying; heavy or impasto layers may need up to a week of drying time before varnishing.

This varnish may even be used to varnish non-lightfast media such as digital print or giclée prints for example.

It can be removed by using a professional acrylic varnish remover.

It can be applied with a soft bristle brush or airbrush with some dilution.
The product can help increase drying time up to twice the normal amount. It can be used up to 1:1 equal parts with your acrylics/paints.
Winsor & Newton Artists’ Acrylic UV varnishes do not require an isolation layer. The Artists’ Acrylic varnish remover will safely remove varnish without damage to the paint.
The varnish can be thinned with a very small amount of distilled water. No more than 25% at most otherwise it will weaken the varnish film too much.
